Our day started similar to yesterday, a hearty breakfast at 6:30 followed by stirring worship and then the daily devotion.

Our devotion theme for the week is from Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel”.

We then headed across the border into Acuna. We were again blessed with a quick and easy border crossing.

We continued our work on the three construction projects. We were able to get walls up, windows and doors framed, all of the siding installed, the roof rafters and trusses Installed. All of this was done without any injuries – another awesome blessing.

We came back into Texas for lunch at the Faith International Mission. We said goodbye to our wonderful hosts there and then finished packing and loading up the vans and trucks for the 7 hour plus road trip to the Valley Baptist Retreat near McAllen, Texas.

We stopped on the way in Laredo for a Texas sized dinner at Luby’s Buffet. Afterwards we met with Rick Hall and his family. Rick heads up the Laredo Stepping Stone ministry. Power supports his ministry. Their mission includes getting food in large quantities to needy churches and communities on both sides of the border.

We arrived at the Valley Baptist Retreat about 10:30 pm. A wonderful facility which we will stay at for the remainder of the trip.
