God is good all the time, all the time, God is good.
The Power team came from all across the US to converge on McAllen, TX. As things go these days, for some folks travel was delayed, but everyone eventually made it. Praise God.
We kicked off our official mission trip hosted by the Valley Baptist Conference Center.
In the morning, we headed over to Magdiel Bible School to once again spend time with the students, fellow brother and sisters in Christ and future spiritual leaders in Mexico. It is difficult to believe that the third year student class was only spending their first full year on campus at Magdiel. Here’s to prayers that COVID is behind us. The time we all spent with first, second and third year classes was spent in laughter, fellowshipping over food and in heartfelt prayer. If you have ever been there, you can’t help but thank God for these exceptional men and women in Christ.
God gave us a quick border crossing back and we were able to enjoy a wonderful steak dinner while we hosted about 40 border patrol personnel and their family members. Some of the border patrol men and women shared their difficult task and some real-world experiences from their attempts to guard and protect our border. The suicide rate of those protecting our border is high, and regardless of your political beliefs, the border situation in 2023 is dangerous for both the border patrol agents and for the people attempting to cross. Thank God for the border patrol agents, processing personnel and everyone involved in this effort day in and day out. Please pray a prayer for God’s hedge of protection for these wonderful people.
