We got to sleep in a little today. We didn’t leave the Valley Retreat Center until 8:45 am. I also fixed my computer to reset to time zones automatically. I had been fooled into thinking that it wasn’t so late when I start typing these musings.

We drove across the border to the Alianza Church, where we went into an upper room (again) for another great session of worship songs; this time with our translators. Pat preached on fearless faith again, focusing on faith through Christ abiding in us & us in Him, using Ephesians 3:17-21, Galatians 5:6 and 1 John 4:16-19. Then Doug had us practice a group repetition of Acts 1:8 (which we failed miserably). First Doug said a phrase, then Robbie said it in Spanish, then the POWER group repeated it again. I will let you imagine what happened. After prayer for the pastors among us, our families back home, the worship service at Alianza and safe travels for the day, we went to the church sanctuary to greet people as they entered. The worship service was fantastic. The church was completely full, the messages from the pulpit were well received, and we even pulled off repeating Acts 1:8 without a hitch. What made it special was people were asked to come forward for prayer requests, and all the POWER men surrounded them to pray over them as pastor Mario listed all the needs. The Holy Spirit was moving powerfully!

After a full lunch with our translators, we jumped back in the vans to cross back into Texas and the long drive up to Del Rio. After a short detour through Del Rio, we arrived at Faith Missions a little after 11 pm, and settled in to our bunk beds at Faith Missions. We will sleep here for the last 3 nights of our trip.
